Visiting Professors, Courtesy Professors, and Writers and Artists in Residence

The Department of Germanic & Slavic Studies has hosted a number of distinguished guests.

The teaching and research of the Department are enhanced by annual visitors from Germany. The Max Kade Visiting Professorship alternates with the Max Kade Writer in Residence Program, both of which are co-sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The Visiting Professor teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, the Writer at the graduate level.
