PeopleEwa Wampuszyc
Expertise19th century Polish and Russian prose, contemporary Polish literature and culture, and teaching Polish and Russian as a foreign language. BiographyEwa Wampuszyc is a lecturer in the Department of Germanic & Slavic Studies and the Center for European Studies. She completed her Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Michigan in 2004. Dr. Wampuszyc's current research focuses on the symbolic and economic value of capital in the literature and journalism of late 19th c. Poland and Russia. At UF, she is half of the Polish Studies program and teaches the following courses: Introduction to Polish Language and Culture, Intermediate Polish, Cultural Transition in Contemporary Poland (1950-today), 19th c. Polish Literature, Contextualizing Magic(al) Realism in Poland, and Modern Polish Culture and Society.
