Center for European Studies

The Center for European Studies is a Title VI National Resource Center founded in part by the US Department of Education. The goal of the center is to assist in the development of area and language skills through fostering rich academic and cultural environments including broad language and areas studies courses, degree options and study abroad opportunities.

Center of Jewish Studies

The Center for Jewish Studies provides an interdepartmental curriculum which serves as a basis for understanding the broad spectrum of Jewish culture, tradition and thought.

Center for Medieval and Early Modern Studies

Medieval and Early Modern Studies (MEMS) is an interdisciplinary forum for the study of medieval and early modern European culture and its influences on the modern world. MEMS addresses the distinctive forms of cultural organization in the Middle Ages and Early Modern period.

Center for Women's Studies and Gender Research

The Center for Women's Studies and Gender Research offers an interdisciplinary forum for the study of gender, its function in culture and societies, and its intersection with race and class. Master's and doctoral students in Germanic and Slavic Studies can acquire a Graduate Certificate in Women's Studies.

Program in Film and Media Studies

The Film and Media Studies program offers a wide array of course in film and media theory and criticism including film and video production. The program encourages an interdisciplinary approach to cinema.

Program for On-Line Study of German Language and Culture

The On-Line Study of German Language and Culture Program in nationally recognized for technology-supported teaching and learning, currently offering six web-based language and culture courses, including a complete beginning and intermediate course sequence. It works closely with the Language Learning Center, the e-learning support services, and the Center for Instructional Technology and Training.

Paris Research Center

The Paris Research Center offers study abroad facilities, administrative support, consultation services and limited funding for lecture series, workshops, symposia, research stays, and other initiatives promoting international exchange.
